LOCATIONS \u2013 The Land<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\r\nGenius Loci\u00a0is located in the very heart of green Umbria, \na land of millenary art, industrious craftsmanship and historical \ngastronomy, with its roots in the civilization of Etruscan people. \nA land where history and a fascinating landscape intertwine in witty \ntones, featuring reception of visitors.<\/span>\r\n\r\nAt a few miles and in a short time you can reach Todi, Assisi, \nBevagna, Perugia, Spello, Foligno, Orvieto, Spoleto.\nFurthermore, the easy and quick access to the \u201cSun Highway\u201d\nand to the European Route E45, allows to visit the major tourist \nresorts of Tuscany and Marche.<\/span>\r\n\r\nAmong several paths of Umbrian handicraft, from lace-making \nto ceramics, from ironwork to woodworking, from printworks to \ntextiles, from goldsmith art to glassware, this villa is located in \nthe same area of the ancient production of terracotta, also known \nfor the refined workmanship of cashmere typical in Ripabianca, \nand at short distance from Deruta, the Umbrian capital of the\nworldwide known majolica.<\/span>\r\n\r\nSince ancient times, in every season of the year a number of different \nenogastronomic events are being held during seasonal fairs, with \nexcellent wines and other delicious products of country tradition.<\/span>\r\n\r\nFurthermore, during different seasons Umbria hosts a number \nof musical events recalling large audience, including international \npublic, mostly when jazz concerts take place.<\/span>\r\n

LOCATIONS \u2013 The House<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\r\nA hand-carved stone slab near the entrance introduces guests to the house, as a well-whishing symbol. The image on the stone depicts the Genius Loci i.e. the propitious \u201cSpirit of place\u201d, the deity who, according to the ancient Romans was tied to a particular place, up to be its soul. <\/span>\r\n\r\nThe villa is a newly-built typical Umbrian mansion, decorated with\nprestigious materials, offering to guests a stay of great beauty \nand full of charm, due to its sober elegance and the opportunity\nto contemplate different landscapes from every corner of the house.<\/span>\r\n\r\nLe ceramiche, le terrecotte, i mobili, l'angolo bar, le strutture, gli arredi e gli ornamenti in ferro battuto della casa vogliono anche testimoniare la fusione delle maestrie locali e di quelle delle suggestive terre della Costa d\u2019 Amalfi, da cui provengono i proprietari. <\/span>\r\n\r\nIn this simple countryside environment, whoever stays \nhere is welcome, sharing the ancient and soft atmosphere of the villa. <\/span>\r\n\r\nIn every period of the year and in each season, visitors are \ngranted intense scents, tastes and colors, which may be experienced \nmainly during a number of different local fairs and events.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe villa is disposed on two floors connected together \ninternally by a stone staircase. From the living room guests may\naccess a large external patio facing a fenced park all around the \nhouse. In the park, at few steps from the entrance is situated a \nswimming pool with salt water, hydromassage, shower and solarium,\na gazebo and a parking lot.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe main entrance introduces into the living room, lit by large \nwindows, as part of an open space including also the dining \nroom with fireplace, also communicating with the patio and the \nkitchen. From the dining room guests may access the patio,\nwhile from the kitchen a glass door leads to the gazebo area \nin the garden. From the dining room visitors get to a small hallway \ntaking to a double bedroom with divisible beds, a double bedroom with \njoinable beds and two bathrooms with shower. From the dining-room a \nstone staircase leads to the first floor composed of a master bedroom \nwith a small balcony facing the countryside, and en-suite bathroom\nwith Jacuzzi tub and shower. On the ground floor, next to the door of \nthe kitchen there is the laundry room, accessible via the garden. \nIn addition to six sleeping places, guests have also available an extra\nsingle-bed, to meet any other requirements.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
